The lang cat limited (we/us/our/lang cat) is the (i) owner and operator of langcatfinancial.co.uk, analyser.thelangcat.com, langcatanalyser.com and all associated lang cat websites (including any subsequent or replacement URL or URLs) (our Site), including any applications and/or digital channels provided by us for the purpose of accessing our Site or other services, and (ii) provider of the lang cat services, business information, publicity, products or goods ((i) and (ii) together being our Services). We are what is known as a data controller of the personal information we gather and use in order to be able to provide the Services (for instance, regarding personal information shared by you when you register to use or benefit from our Services), which means we determine what happens to this data. By using our Services you are accepting and agreeing to the practices described in this notice, and in providing us with personal information you warrant that you have all necessary consents, rights and permissions necessary to do so. 3. YOUR PRIVACY
We take your privacy seriously, process your data in compliance with data protection law and we are Cyber Essentials accredited. This notice provides information about your privacy rights and how we gather, use and share your personal information (or personal data). This includes the personal information that we already hold about you now and the further personal information we might collect about you (either directly from you or from a third-party). How we use your personal information will depend on the Services we provide to you.
This notice describes the categories of personal information we process and for what purposes. We are committed to collecting and using such data fairly and in accordance with the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulations, being the laws and regulations implementing, transposing, supplementing or amending the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 into UK law including the Data Protection Act 2018.

For anyone using the Services, including visitors who do not register login details, we may use analysis tools (for instance, Google Inc Analytics [which you can opt out of using the Google tool found here: Google Optout], anti-bot assessments such as Google’s ReCAPTCHA, or similar) to track user journeys throughout the Site in order to determine any changes to improve your online experience and use of the Services. Also, the Site may use tracking technology by which anonymous data is collected and saved for marketing and optimisation purposes. All visitor data so accessed and collected by us is on an anonymous basis.

The majority of your personal information is processed in the UK. However, some of this (e.g. information held on cloud storage, or information that is exchanged with third party service providers who assist us in the provision of the Services including Mailchimp (Intuit Inc. e-communications), Google Inc, Sage Group plc (payments), Stripe Payments UK Ltd, PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. (also payments), Crowdcast Inc. (online event organisation), our Analyser system software provider in Edinburgh, Bad Dinosaur Limited, Eventbrite Inc. (ticketing platform) and Automattic Inc. (website systems such as WordPress.com & WooCommerce)) may be processed by us, or such third parties, in the European Economic Area (EEA) and other countries such as the United States. Where your information is being processed outside of the UK we and/or our third party service providers (for example, in the case of Mailchimp, which is part of Intuit Inc., via EU-US Privacy Shield compliance & certification) are responsible for ensuring that this is protected to at least an equivalent standard as would be applied by UK data privacy laws.
5. HOW LONG WE WILL KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR
How long we keep data in a form which permits identification of data subjects depends on the Services provided to you, and we won’t retain your personal information for any longer than is necessary for the purposes that we need to use it. For instance, we will hold personal information for as long as is necessary for managing our relationship with you, for active or potential legal proceedings, to assist law enforcement agencies, to resolve or defend claims and for the purpose of making any payments which we may be legally required to make (for example, HMRC VAT accounting and reporting purposes).
