Research analyst

Kate joined the lang cat back in November 2022 as a research analyst to work alongside Steve and Liz within the research team. She is new the financial world but brings experience from her social and market research background to aid in designing new and exciting research strategies, conducting both qual and quant research, and analysing data to develop actionable insights for financial platforms. In particular, Kate enjoys being able to pick financial advisers brains about their wants and needs from platforms and corresponding software to help the industry grow and develop.

As our resident motorbiker, when Kate’s not at work, you will likely find her out riding around Scotland rain or shine!

The research found that over the last 12 months, 88% of advisers needed to apologise to at least one of their clients on behalf of a platform, and that poor service delivery from platforms impacts 91% of advisers every day.
